Since John’s retirement he has gone on to help out as an archivist at Warley Place and also to write a novel or three!
John’s first book THE WALL was received very well and proceeds of the sale went to Essex Wildlife Trust. His second book THE WALNUT TREE did equally as well. His third book will be out towards the end of the year.

Sylvia contributes to national, regional magazines and on-line journals. Following her Freelance Writer of the Year award for Writing Magazine, she began work on FOLKLORE OF ESSEX which contributed to Channel 5’s film COUNTY SECRETS.
