First up tonight I was joined by Essex newcomers The Royals (l-r George, Jack, Charlie, Tom). Formed in mid-2016, the indie quartet are releasing their debut single Breathe next month, with a series of live dates to promote it. More new tracks are in the pipeline too, as we heard tonight. Stay tuned to their Facebook and Twitter pages for updates. Click above to listen back to the interview – where among other things we discuss their plans for the year ahead and the unexpected inspiration for their name! Click below to see them playing live in the studio.
Next up it was the debut radio appearance by London foursome The Youts (clockwise from top: George, Callum, Chris, Rahul), just ahead of their latest gig at The Black Heart. They have one EP, Special Fears, currently available on their Bandcamp page, with more gigs in the pipeline too – check their Facebook page for the latest news. Click above to listen back to the interview, where we discuss the very odd story behind the band’s name, and a few rather bizarre listener suggestions as to what they could change their name to… See them playing live below.
