With Beyonce releasing her new album Lemonade this week and with all the drama that has gone on surrounding it, tonight the playlist included tracks that had food or drink in the name of the song title or the artist.
Songs included:
Sugar – Robin Schulz ft Francesco Yates
Pumpkin Soup – Kate Nash
History – One Direction
Cookie Jar – Gym Class Heroes
Sugar – Maroon 5
Wear My Kiss – Sugababes
Who Do You think you are – Spice Girls
Sweet like chocolate – Shanks and bigfoot
Milkshake – Kelis
Lady Marmalade – Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kym, Pink & Mya
Pump It – Black Eyed Peas
Candy – Aggros Santos ft Kimblely
Girl is Mine – 99 Souls ft Destinity’s Child & Brandy
Cake by the Ocean – DNCE
Peanut Butter Jelly – Galantis
Dessert – Dawin ft Silento
Roses – ChainSmokers ft Rozes
Kicking off the second hour of the show was a song from Beyonce’s Lemonade called Freedom which she also performs on her Formation Tour. Staring this week Miami and performing 32 songs, the tour is to support her newly released visual album. Lyrics on the album possibly accuse husband Jay Z of cheating and have left fans trying to figure out who Becky with the good hair is! One female celeb that was in the firing line for this was Rita Ora, who has taken to Twitter to mock this idea by posing in a bikini top with lemons on and a J on her necklace – which is actually an R backwards in the mirror.
The album is very personal and emotional and is said to be all about the experiences of black women and also features collaborations with Kendrick Lemar, The Weeknd, James Blake and Jack White.
