Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman – better known as ‘Stock Aitken Waterman’ was a British songwriting and record producing trio who are considered to be one of the most successful song writing and producing partnerships of all time, scoring more than 100 UK top 40 hits, selling 40 million records.

SAW were behind the launch of many careers in the 80s including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Rick Astley and Mel & Kim.

I met with Mike Stock last week at his impressive recording studio for a cup of tea and a chat! I asked him how his involvement with Kylie Minogue’s recent Christmas song came about.
