Crikey – December already! Christmas is just over 3 weeks away when we’ll all be tucking into roast turkey with all the trimmings.

Now hopefully everyone knows just what a turkey is but believe it or not a survey has just revealed that a fifth of young adults think that fish fingers are actually made from the fingers of fish.

Amazingly 15% don’t realise that lamb comes from sheep or that a pig is the source of a pork chop. On top of that 9% think that potatoes grow on trees; hate to be underneath if a spud falls off!

After examining the somewhat dubious activities of the Witchfinder General last week, this week Margaret Mills focused her attention on the Brentwood martyr, William Hunter and the appalling way in which he was executed in Brentwood, just for standing up for his beliefs. Thank goodness we live in rather more enlightened times.
