NEW SOCKS?
You would have seen on the news the dreadful situation at the moment in Lesbos in Greece with over 5000 migrants arriving each day on flimsy and usually overcrowded rubber boats all along the coast facing Turkey. Lots of babies, and toddlers, and children, as well as all age groups, often traumatised, always wet from the waves, cold and afraid. To date, more than 3000 people have died trying to make the crossing, yet 430,000 have made it to Lesvos this year along…..yesterday 80 boats, each with well over 30 people in, arrived along the north Lesvos coasts, and they continue to arrive all day and all night….
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Charles is putting together urgently needed aid and taking to Lesbos, what they need is:-

- Funding donations – to cover our high transport costs – Payable to Hope and Aid Direct and sent to me at 18 High Street, Ingatestone, Essex, CM4 9EE or paid through our website marked Lesvos appeal Essex. www.hopeandaiddirect.org.uk
