Presently working on new material for his debut album due early next year, Joel AKA
MisteR LEES promises a body of work that is “high quality” with “simple but superb
production” . Before the album, Joel will release the ‘NEW’ EP this September as a
taster of what’s to come.
Since undergoing Artist Development with the British Academy Of New Music,
MisteR LEES has gone from strength to strength as a vocalist, songwriter, guitarist
and pianist. Christianborn
Joel describes his sound as Epic Dance but assures that
his sound is ever changing and growing with the industry itself. He sings positive
messages of peace and love, coupled with guidance to those in times of struggle.
This is particularly evident when listening to some of his newer pieces.
Born in Colchester, Essex, his musical influences include luminaries like Craig
David, Plan B and Jamie T. Like those who have innovated before him, let it be
known that MisteR LEES is carving out a rock solid reputation for himself.
Joel began his career as a part of a twoman
band known as ‘Frontline Music’, which
was formed by himself and consisted of Joel and his younger brother Samuel.
The two became popular on the local scene playing bars, pubs and clubs throughout
Essex. The ‘Frontline’ group gained a vast amount of exposure, experience and a
strong following throughout their time together. In 2011 the duo parted ways and this
twist in the journey made Joel more determined and focused on chasing his lifelong
dream of spreading his positive message throughout the world!
With an intense passion for music, Joel has grown not only as a writer but also as a
performer. Oozing with charm and charisma, MisteR LEES is most definitely a name
to look out for and an artist worthy of your playlist!
