Council Update – Green Belt, Audit and Scrutiny and Hutton Community Centre

Paul Golder attended the weekly press briefing at the Town Hall this morning where Leader of the Council, Cllr Barry Aspinell spoke about the Council’s current plans, including:

– plans for selling part of the Green Belt at Merrymeades Park
– the Audit and Scrutiny committee and a request to change the meeting dates
– a planning refusal at Kelvedon Hatch

On behalf of the ruling Accord and not on behalf of Brentwood Borough Council, Barry also spoke about the ongoing saga at Hutton Community Centre.

Today we were also joined by Cllr Russell Quirk, Brentwood First councillor for Hutton North and Chairman of the council’s Asset Committee.
