An early start for a very full lunchbox

Typical isn’t it – you’ve been stuck at work all week long, looking enviously at the glorious sunshine outside, the school holidays begin, the weekend comes along – and so does the cloud and with it, much cooler temperatures!

But did we let that dampen our spirits? No as true Brits we even set off earlier for our extra large PACKED LUNCH. And as the holiday season gets under way, we took a look at some of the complaints received by holiday companies from their clients. I think my favourite is from some people who had visited Jamaica and claimed that it was unfair that it took them 9 hours to fly home whilst it took the Americans just 3 hours! A true gem that one.

Chapel-ruins-in-high-street1-150x150In the final hour of today’s programme, Frances Clamp returned to the Chaplain’s House in Brentwood that she’d looked at earlier back in March. This time round Frances  looked in a little more detail at the building itself, the chapel and the surrounding land.

Listen again to what Frances had to say here: – Bygones 16th July

The sun will return later today and tomorrow and I’m off now to top up that tan. Have a good weekend and don’t work too hard next week. See you next Saturday.
