This weekend we spoke to Jonathan Walford, the captain of Brentwood Cricket club, fresh from the end of their match away to Colchester. Brentwood won the match by 7 wickets to the team sitting at the bottom of the table. Jon spoke about his excitement at the forthcoming Lashings match, coming up on the 12th of July.
It was a good day for British sport, with the exception of the Lions losing by a point to Australia. Laura Robson and Andy Murray through to the last 16 at Wimbledon helped with the patriotism on a warm Saturday. We also spoke to Ben Pearce, live from Silverstone, with the news that Lewis Hamilton had earned pole position at the British Grand Prix.
