It was great to finally catch up with Laila K and Barney Boom from Sonic Boom Six, who were at Chinnery’s in Southend on another UK tour supporting their eponymous 4th album released in October.

Laila and Barney talked about the musical changes in the band, the joys of being on a new record label and where they see themselves in the future.

The gig was a musical feast too – the two of them have endless energy bounding around the stage while the rest of the band do their thing. There was also some great support from the Lafontaines, Under The Influence and Essex band Killatrix.

You can find out more about the current tour and plans for the future on their official website or Facebook / Twitter pages.

Yeah, that’s the look I was going for
