We started the month of September with temperatures of 28 or 29 degrees – the sort of highs we have seen all too little of this summer, but whilst it might be sunny today, at just 14 degrees, none too warm.
Nevertheless we enjoyed some hot music this afternoon before the winter winds start whistling round our nether regions.
In addition to that Frances Clamp dropped by to provide the history of New Road in Brentwood. Now the fact that Frances appeared was a bonus as I had thought she would be on holiday this week, which would have been the case had she not changed her plans in the light of the weather forecast. As it happens Frances will not be with me for the next couple of weeks so I’ll have to get myself sorted out to try to take her place for a little while.
You can listen to what Frances had to tell us on today’s subject right here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Bygones-25th-September.mp3|titles=Bygones 25th September]
Well that’s it for the final PACKED LUNCH in September. See you next week as we move headlong into Autumn. Til then have a good week!
