Dionne Interiors & Food claims that fool

Monday 26th – Wednesday 28th

It’s a short week for me on phoenix as I am off on Thursday and Friday (live gets in the way!)Anyway on Monday I continued with my Health Feature titled:

Intelligent Food Advice Health Feature

It looks edible but what is the ingredients list? When you are buying something don’t be fooled that its ok because the packaging says things like ‘100% natural,’ ‘High in Fibre,’ ‘Low in salt,’ ‘Low in fat,’ ‘Sugar free,’ or ‘1 of your 5-a-day.’ This means NOTHING! What matters is what’s listed on the ingredients. Take it off the shelf, turn it around and have a read. I recently received a free sample sent with one of my exercise equipment orders. It was an oat energy bar and read ‘100% natural ingredients.’ I turned it around (as I do) and began assessing it for myself. Listed SECOND (which means it’s the second largest amount of that ingredient in the product) was sugar!!! Then after that was honey! Okay so these aren’t E numbers, or any other artificial chemical that began its life in a lab rather than on the earth, but since when would I have gone into my natural environment and found myself nibbling on sugar coated oats growing randomly in a field! The processed food manufacturers are trying to fool society but now you don’t need to be fooled.

On Tuesday I covered local news and weather but on Wednesday I was joined by Dionne Ferguson from Dionne Interiors. Dionne makes handmade curtains, swags and tails, pelmets, roman blinds, bedding, and soft furnishings accessories. I think Dionne is absolutely loving (I don’t mean that in a patronising way, you just can’t not like her!) and she is so passionate about her work and really puts her heart and soul into it! Dionne has gone to so much effort to learn as much as she possibly can’t by doing courses and at times not working in the easiest places or under the easiest circumstances. This can only mean one thing – she is completely driven to do what she does and enjoy her work. Listen to our chat to hear lots more and you can view her website https://www.dionneinteriors.co.uk/ or contact her on twitter @dionneinteriors or by phone 0700 349 6507
