An extra large portion with a few surprises today!

In an extended edition of PACKED LUNCH today, after an initial panic that he might not make it in today, I was delighted to see a welcome return of local author, Patrick Forsyth. Now Patrick has over 80 titles to his name to which he has just added another two, just in time for Christmas.

Patrick’s latest offerings are “EMPTY WHEN HALF FULL” and “HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR WRITING”. Even the second book is written in an amusing style. We discussed both titles, the first book having been devised as a result of spotting a batch of misprints in just an hour, such as a warning on a  sleeping draught, suggesting that the product might cause drowsiness! This collection of daft “gobbledyspeak” is bound to entertain so if you want to irritate fellow passengers, who might wonder why you suddenly burst out laughing whilst reading this on public transport, make sure to add this book to your Christmas list.

Likewise with money being tight, Patrick’s other book “HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR WRITING”, will help many people to at least make some pocket money, especially from writing articles for magazines. Some more creative people may also be able to pick up some valuable tips from this book. Patrick read a few lines from this book which once again illustrated that this book apart from being educational, is also written in a very amusing style.

Patrick’s books are available on Amazon and also via his website www.patrickforsyth.com. Listen again to my chat with Patrick right here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Patrick-Forsyth.mp3|titles=Patrick Forsyth]

Frances Clamp was also on hand with the history of SOUTH STREET in BRENTWOOD.  For another chance to listen to this contribution from Frances just click on the link below: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Bygones-4th-December1.mp3|titles=Bygones 4th December]

Well as Christmas looms ever closer and the weather gets ever colder, I’m off to wrap up warm and I’ll see you again next week. Til then try to keep warm and keep those bugs floating round at present at bay if you can.

All the best,

Scott
