Sunday Lunch Show BLOG; RIHANNA…Live at the o2

Hi Listeners

Well this week I set of to the London o2 arena for the Rihanna LOUDtourUK,  which was fitting as this week Rihanna has broken a UK singles chart record by taking her latest track ‘We Found Love’ to number one.

The Bajan singer becomes the first female solo artist to top the chart six times in five consecutive years, having previously held pole position with ‘Umbrella’, ‘Take A Bow’, ‘Run This Town’, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ and ‘What’s My Name’ between 2007 and January this year.

‘We Found Love’, which also features veteran producer Calvin Harris , (Whom was also at the o2 areana warming up the crowd) sold over 87,000 copies within just four days of release. It serves as the lead track from Rihanna’s upcoming sixth studio album`Talk that Talk.
I spoke to Rihanna after the gig  and although I was not allowed to obtain audio she told me that she was “lovin the UK LOUD Tour” and was estatic about her new No1; We Found Love. On stage she aquires a massive pressence and attitude oozing confidence and class, behind the scene I found her to be a completly normal girl, funny and happy to talk to her army of fans.

Rihanna gave me a cheeky smile before posing for a photo, and I have been beaming with that smile ever since!

As I left she shouted “Hey Love the Jacket”I was thinking shall I give it to her, but na na na… its me favorite!

Here are a couple of personel snaps from the stage;

Rihanna has now released behind the scenes footage from the music video for current single`We Found Love`
The clip features the singer on the three-day shoot in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she caused chaos
 by attracting hundreds of fans on the streets of the city.
She had earlier been told to cover up by a farmer after posing topless during the shoot, on which she is said to have flirted “outrageously” with model Dudley O`Shaughnessy, but did she like his Jacket…!

Speaking of the video, Rihanna described it as having “the perfect treatment for this song” and said the shoot had been “super fun”. “It’s probably one of the deepest videos I’ve ever done,” she said. “It’s all about love and love being like a drug. You definitely get that from this – the good feeling of it and the dangers of it. That’s what this video’s about.”

More Blog next week after the Sunday Lunch Show, this week I am joined by the band the lovable Rogues and hopefully TOWIE star Gemma Collins if she is not filming (fingers crossed)
