Interview with Warriors of the Dystotheque

disco

Great to talk to Jonny Mac, Producer, Engineer and DJ from the Warriors of the Dystotheque.

The band are composed of DJ / Producer / Engineers Jonny Mac, Sean and The Brothers Nylon; Mike and Nick Rufolo.

Jonny has produced, engineered and toured with the likes of The Happy Mondays, Orbital, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Prodigy and many more.

With a new track THE FUTURE IS OURS out now, I talked to Jonny about the his life in music whilst he was sat in his garden in Ireland soaking up the sun rays and you can sample of a few of the tunes during the interview.

WARRIORS OF THE DYSTOTHEQUE

The Warriors are forged from an alliance of transatlantic low-fi fanatics and leftfield DJ / Producers. Projecting an amalgamation of 60’s garage, broken beat, jazz, downtempo, house, techno, electronica, noise and psyche, their unusual sound, whether laid back, or dance floor oriented, could quite easily come from a dystopic future where truly bad taste, (the good bad taste) is outlawed.
