Previewing the weekend’s non-league games

A huge clash – for Bowers & Pitsea (Image: Nicky Hayes)

There is a huge clash at the top of the Isthmian North Division tomorrow as Bowers & Pitsea host table-topping Lowestoft Town.

Fourth-place Bowers are unbeaten in eight league games and it will be a sign of intent if they can secure three points with the Suffolk-based side only losing four times in the league this term.

Elsewhere in the Isthmian North Division, an Essex derby sees Heybridge Swifts take on Brentwood Town and Grays Atheltic host Walthamstow. Several sides are on the road with Basildon United heading to Enfield, Gorleston playing host to Maldon & Tiptree and Witham Town making the trip to New Salamis.

In the Vanarama National League, Southend United have a vital clash as they head to Oxford City. The Shrimpers only sit outside of the relegation zone on goal difference after three consecutive defeats.

Dagenham & Redbridge, looking to build on their emphatic 7-1 win over Oxford last weekend, head to York City.

Two play-off hopefuls in the National League South, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Aveley, face off at the Beveree Stadium.

Chelmsford City are also on their travels as they take on relegation-threatened Eastbourne Borough and Braintree Town host Torquay United.

Billericay Town take on Horsham, a side that reached the second round of the Emirates FA Cup, in the Isthmian Premier Division. High-flying Hornchurch come up against Haringey Borough and Hashtag United and Canvey Island head to Wingate & Finchley and Margate respectively.

Concord Rangers take on a side that was relegated with them from the National League South last season, Dulwich Hamlet, at the Aspect Arena.
