As I sit here and type this blog, we are approaching the last UK bank holiday of 2023 and for once the year has started to feel much like it was in 2019. The fact is we are glibly anticipating the bank holiday weekend to be a possible washout, weather-wise. But, with all the lockdown malarkey still ringing in the ears of many of us, the thought of getting out and about regardless of any wet weather is the only way to be and I agree those pessimists do often trot out the same negative groans at all the seasonal fun; if I was a gambler and listened I could be rich.
