Andréa Lisa is a soulful and captivating vocalist and guitarist, originally from South Africa.
Andréa and her band, who specialise in Soul, Crossover Jazz and RnB, formed in New Zealand in mid 2011.
She has recorded and toured with South African singer-songwriter Jonathan Butler, Ralph Johnson (Earth Wind & Fire), George Brown (Kool & the Gang) and acclaimed producer Ray Crossley (Marvin Gaye, El Debarge).
Most recently she recorded some guitar work for the latest Kool & the Gang album ‘People Just Wanna Have Fun’, on the songs ‘Obsession’ and ‘For the Woman in You’.
“Like Each Other” is Andréa’s new single. A slow burner, with sweet vocals, Like Each Other is calming but with a constant energy.
She will be playing the Māngere Arts Centre in Auckland on August 18 before returning to the USA to tour with long-time collaborator and Grammy-award winning artist Kirk Whalum.
