Welcome to July and this week’s show fell on the fall of the unholy British empire; okay no, it is the day of independence for Americans. It is a lovely thing to be independent and free to make your way in the world and all that, none of that influence lark, just going your own way- ok special relationships aside and having those peaky colonial people as new-natives, luckily in a general sense it is all good. It is often like being a music creative, you have your schooling and you have your influences, but most often, some creatives peer back at their start and occasionally hanker for the way it was.
So, my Chatbit was asking. Which generally feels better to you, being an independent artist or being part of a group of creatives?
I’m independently looking at the lovely new music we played this week, which came from Blaklight – Color Theory – Church Of Trees – Mike Haunted & Chris KD – MOTHLOOP – Lomond Campbell – Volker Milch, plus a cheeky megamix and loads more top tunes.
