1983 It was the debut of the Welsh children’s animated series SuperTed on BBC1. Welsh writer, producer and animator Mike Young had written the stories to help his son overcome his fear of the dark. The series featured the voice talents of Roy Kinnear, Jon Pertwee, Melvyn Hayes and Wendy Padbury.
