If only I could make a deal with the charts and get the track to number one. I’ve been running that road and running up that hill, with no problem. Out of the blue, the strangest of things, as Kate Bush is now at number one in the UK charts in June 2022; considering its 1985 heyday. According to the Official Charts Company, Bush now holds the record for the longest-ever gap between No. 1 singles. “Running Up That Hill,” a Hounds of Love single. To me, that is one of the wonders of great music, it can recirculate to a new audience if given the chance. Most times it’s via cover versions or reworkings of a song, or even simply sample use- Whether it be Gary Jules and his cover of Tears for Fears ‘Mad world’ song or ‘Freak like me’ by Sugar Babes, using samples from Gary Numan’s classic ‘Are friends Electric’.
It is awesome to hear an original back out there as a hit song all over again for new ears. In the case of this classic Kate Bush song, it shot out as a result of the other medium: acting performance support, which came from the Netflix TV hit show Stranger Things, magically providing the spotlight with a newer meaning to the feel of this classic Bush song.
Chatbit-wise, I asked what classic track or hit song, found itself relaunched to bigger or newer acclaim, thanks to its TV or film use, that you loved.

Launching more new tracks this week, as we heard tracks from Teleskop – Zero Corporation – ECC – Pensacola Mist – SBR Bone and Star – Spatial Awareness – The Sub Theory, plus many more tasty tracks, classic artists and the odd remix.

1. Anton Witter – All The Heroes (Radio Mix)
