With Takeley on Cup duty meant that Hullbridge Sports were able to take pole position after a 2-1 win at Hoddesdon Town. Darren Manning’s team had to come back from behind to do it though as the hosts took the lead from a Joss Lillis penalty in the 21^st minute. But Hullbridge were back on terms within three minutes courtesy of Adebola Sotoyinbo. Hoddesdon were denied a share of the spoils as Rob Hodgson popped up deep into stoppage time to snatch all the points with a late winning goal.  Sporting Bengal United posted their first league win of the season in some style as they beat Enfield 6-0 at Mile End Stadium. Steven Carvell’s 35^th minute goal saw the hosts go in at the break with a 1-0 lead. Whatever  said in the dressing room at half-time surely did the trick as his side went on to score five times in the second half. It took only two second half minutes for Bobby Redwood to find the target; Jon Watson added another on the hour; then a five minute spell of fire power saw Codey Cameron add a further two to the tally. Yasir Rashid wrapped up the scoring in the 75^th minute and there was also a clean sheet collected by Cem Temur to complete a good afternoon for Sporting Bengal.

Lamar Joseph-Johnson also kept a clean sheet for Stansted who beat Southend Manor 3-0 at Southchurch Park. Paul Clayton (23’), Carl Mullings (61’) and Billy Coyne (87’), were the marksmen. Reece Grundy was also collecting a clean sheet at Cricklefield which included saving an Aaron Hunwicks penalty for the hosts. St Margaretsbury went on to beat Barkingside 2-0 with Charncey Dash and Phil Lowen scoring the goals that sealed the win; Barkingside are 17^th and still looking for their first league win of the season after this setback. West Essex went in at half-time leading Leyton Athletic 2-0 with Cameron Gray and Michael Mignot providing the goals. Mario Gnijaj pulled one back for the visitors but there was to be no way back as the hosts scored twice more as Izzy Ogedi-Uzoke and Hakim Medfai secured the  first league win of the season for West Essex. Over at Oakside and it were honours even as Asher Modeste’s 33^rd minute goal for Redbridge was cancelled out by Jeffrey Cobblah’s reply for Clapton in the 1-1 draw.
