Joined in the studio by Moira Dare-Edward to discuss The International Holocaust Memorial Day Exhibition.
This is a joint initiative of Christian Friends of Israel (Essex) and Tikvah Chadasha Synagogue (Shenfield & Brentwood). This is an annual exhibition which explores the background to the Holocaust, the lives of people caught up in those tragic events, their survival and their subsequent return to life.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The Exhibition is taking place Thursday 26 January 2017 to Saturday 28 January 2017 09:30 – 16:30 (13:00 on Saturday 28th) at Town Hall, Ingrave Road, Brentwood CM15 8AY
On the ground floor: the Exhibition for browsing with interactive sessions of 45 mins with a Holocaust survivor for school groups & space permitting, individuals. Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning.
Upstairs in the Council Chamber: An opportunity to hear the personal story of Edgar Guest Thursday and Friday morning at 11 am. A Hungarian Jew, Edgar recalls episodes from his boyhood which was dominated by events culminating in The Holocaust. Film or speaker Saturday 10:30 am to be confirmed.
Meeting of Commemoration At 6:30pm on Saturday 28th January in The Main Hall of Brentwood County High School, Seven Arches Road, Shenfield Common, BrentwoodCM14 4JF (doors open at 5pm for viewing Exhibitions)
Free admission to all events but donations are welcome. A freewill offering will follow the evening meeting
