NEWS THIS WEEK
1981: Thames Television airs the first episode of Cosgrove Hall Films’ children’s animated series Danger Mouse with the lead character voiced by David Jason. Danger Mouse worked as a secret agent. The show was a parody of British spy fiction, particularly the Danger Man series and James Bond. By 1983, Danger Mouse viewing figures hit an all-time high. The original show finished in 1992, but had a reboot in 2015 with Alexander Armstrong taking over the main role.
