May starts here in my book, with a full record box of audio delights- As the weather seems to be getting summery and the great new music seems to keep on coming. We had new singles from new duo to this here show, Zundapp; well I say new, they were Spacebuoy- who we loved loads. We had a cool Fotonovela remix of the brand new single from greek synth lovelies Marsheaux- Who are coming to the UK soon to play a special show with some great guests.

Rob Green talking Synth Wave

This week I had a special guest in the Phoenix FM studio- Mr Rob Green from the band The Department, and one half of  the team behind Electro London records; the other hand being Mr Johnny Normal. To talk about Electro London’s brilliant new vinyl complication album… Synth Wave, which features 12 Synth based artists from around the world, some even heard on my show before.

Naturally we played some of the tracks from 6 of the 12 artists from this new album, Synth Wave (volume 1) they were from The Stir Fry Pop Star, Ys Atlov, Technique, Cosaqintos En Globo, The Department and Promenade Cinema- Which of course sort of led us to wax lyrical (pun intended) about the joys of vinyl, production and how the album artists were chosen and finally put together.  There was even a hint of Volume 2 to come- either way a copy of this vinyl delight is available originally from May 13th…. *[update]
