Ryman League North: Brentwood Town 0 Ware 2

Ware have ended Brentwood Town’s 11 league game unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory at The Brentwood Arena.

The away side gained the lead early in the second half through Albert Adu but Brentwood could not respond and Ware solidified the three points with a late goal from substitute Ryan Wade.

Jack Gardner had the first opportunity of the game 21 minutes in, as he cut inside his man on the edge of the box but his shot was straight at the Ware keeper.

The visitors almost took the lead as Adu’s volley into the ground from a corner was headed off the line by Louis Baucutt to deny Ware the lead.

Charlie Ledula for Ware had a snap shot from an awkward angle which hit the right post.

Brentwood nearly grabbed the opener as Gardener’s lifted ball was miscued by the away sides defence and Courtney Whites touch was just too heavy which Rhys Madden collected.

Ware’s Murat Karagul had two shots on ‘The Blues’ goal which Ollie Bowles made a great double save to deny the visitors.

In added time Kieran Bishop for the away side tried an overhead kick but it went wide of The Brentwood goal.

The home side started brightly in the second half as Bantick’s corner was flicked on by Dafner but went just wide.

Ware took an early lead five minutes in as Karagul cut the ball back at the by-line for Abu who bent his shot into the bottom right corner.

Bowles stopped Ware from a second as Karagul was involved again, was in on goal but for another great block with his feet.

Bishop almost secured the points for Ware and his shot on the turn hit the crossbar and away from danger.

Substitute Ryan Wade secured the win with five minutes left as he scored from the free-kick which he bent round the wall and into the bottom corner.
