Council update – Lights Out, William Hunter Way, traveller sites, the Town Hall … and prisons?

Paul Golder attended the weekly press briefing at the Town Hall this morning where Leader of the Council, Cllr Barry Aspinell spoke about the Council’s current plans, including:

– the Lights Out vigil and the new Royal British Legion memorials in Middleton Hall Lane and Shenfield Road
– William Hunter Way
– traveller sites in the Borough
– the Town Hall refurbishment

In a personal (and not a council) capacity, Barry also spoke about his thoughts on setting up a possible pilot scheme for a new prison for drug users in the borough.
