Last Thursday BOB SIMPSON spoke with entertainment legend, KEN DODD so if you were at work and missed it, we repeated some highlights of their conversation on today’s show. It’s hard to believe that Ken will be 86 in November and is still going strong and playing to packed houses after all these years. As Ken said, during his chat with Bob, most people only start doing what they really wanted to do, once they retire from their regular day job, so Ken is feels privileged to be able to carry on doing what he has been fortunate enough to have been able to do all his life – entertaining people. Long may he continue! You can read more and listen to the whole of the interview here:- https://www.phoenixfm.com/2013/09/19/ken-dodd-talks-about-his-life-comedy-music-and-the-beatles/
We also heard from Frances Clamp who re-visited St Mary’s Parish Church in Great Warley and whilst there proved that my research on today’s subject, was somewhat wide of the mark! Listen again to what Frances had to say right here: – Bygones 17th September
Right I’m off to do some final cutting of hedges and lawns before the arrival of the autumn storms.
See you next week,
Scott
