Where the future meets the past

It was a great pleasure to welcome the Deputy Mayor of Brentwood, Cllr. Mark Reed to the studio today to talk about Saturday’s forthcoming STRAWBERRY FAIR.

Listen again to what Cllr. Reed had to say here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Mark-Reed-interview.mp3|titles=Mark Reed interview]

We also played two tracks from the day’s featured band recorded in April specially for PHOENIX FM’s CREATIVE SESSIONS. Today we heard two tracks – BAD TRIP and ON ME by five piece hardrock female fronted band, FIRE AT DAWN who come from Southend.

From PHOENIX FM’s department of “weird and whacky” news we heard all about a London hotel out to scare guests witless – and that’s not just by the size of their bill in the morning!

Frances Clamp has done another “runner” this week but had once more, mercifully supplied me
with some detailed notes about a Grade II listed building, currently occupied by Bennetts, the funeral directors at the corner of Kings Road and the High Street in Brentwood.

Listen again to my efforts to convey details of what Frances left and be thankful that Frances will be back next week: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Bygones-18th-June.mp3|titles=Bygones 18th June]

Enjoy the rest of your week.
