Can you bank on Easter

Blimey O’Reilly, it is that there Easter bank Holiday weekend… I’m still wearing the Christmas excess around my waist… Which is why I’ve tried to get back to some jogging- typically I’ve had one Easter Egg; so far and this is bu a minor lapse. In today show there was no lapse in good music, and indeed, new stuff – Among the Echoes, Sinestar, Low Tide Theory, Vivien Glass, SpaceBuoy and a band who made such a subtle return with a very quiet return with their 13th Album; You may not have guessed, but I am referring to Basildon’s finessed export Depeche Mode.

We also discussed; well I talked at you, about the amount of TOWIE Shops in Brentwood, and would you want to set up your own shop, and if so what would you sell.

Going back to Depeche Mode- their lead track off the new album-Delta Machine, is called ‘Heaven’ and after weeks of playing the track, it had just dawned on me where I may have heard the intro before… I think it is here- Robert Wyatt’s classic, ‘Shipbuilding’…….

My music pick for this week;

Fri 05 Apr Funeral For a Friend – Chinnerys, Southend-on-Sea
Bridgend post-hardcore band Funeral For a Friend formed in 2001 and released their debut album ‘Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation’ in 2003 to critical acclaim.

My Comedy show picks for this week……

Live at the Chapel — Mark Thomas, Tim Key, Alun Cochrane 6th Apr 2013 • Union Chapel
Live at the Chapel returns with a fantastic line-up, headed by political activist/comedian Mark Thomas. This is your chance to see him in the Union Chapel’s intimate surroundings, alongside Tim Key, Cardinal Burns.
