It is all very good people getting excited about Christmas, but what about Easter or pancake Sunday.. Still if it helps stimulate a financial recovery, ok. This week I finally got to see the new Bond movie ‘Skyfall’, and yes worth the wait, as it was an explosive action festival of all what we love in a bond movie; if a little guessable in places. To say it was on form would be the worse I could say and to that i’d say its well worth a viewing.

Twofers today came from Depeche Mode, as we eagerly await the name of the or new album and tour- so We played Personal Jesus and a new track ‘Angel’.

Looking forward to a lovely Christmas gig, The Box on December 14th, on the bill will be Oberheim and Curxes, here a video of one of the Bands playing- Automatic Writing;

My Comedy show picks for this week……

Al Murray — The Only Way is Epic – 18th Nov 2012 • Queen’s Theatre
Join Al Murray’s irrepressible Pub Landlord for an epic night of comedy. Broken Britain may be staring into the bottom of an empty pint glass, but don’t lose hope

Strictly Come Laughing – 18th Nov 2012 • Hackney Empire

Join a host of top comedy talent for “Strictly Come Laughing”, in aid of the impoverished town of Kwahu Tafo in Ghana. Names confirmed so far include Eddie Nestor, Robbie Gee, Slim, Axel, Glenda Jaxson, Stephen K Amos

Richard Herring’s Podcast, with Adam Buxton – 19th Nov 2012 • Leicester Square Theatre
The “Podfather” Richard Herring is bringing his Edinburgh Fringe Podcast show to London, in which he will partake in some improvised comedy chat with another comedian.

My music pick for this week;

Tue 20 Nov Band of Horses – Hammersmith Apollo, London
Dreamy indie band from South Carolina who openly embrace their Christian values. Sonically they are a typical American band with husky emotive vocals and a sublime fusion of electric guitars and silky looped drum beats.
Tue 20 Nov Passion Pit – HMV Forum, London
Sexy electro rockers from New York whose records sound like they have been spun on a waltzer of noughties psychedelia.
Thu 22 Nov The Dandy Warhols – Heaven, London
Heroin tainted rock’n’roll band fronted by Courtney Taylor. His charismatic group are most famous for their swaggering hits such as ‘Bohemian Like You’ and ‘Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth’.
Sat 24 Nov Crystal Castles – O2 Academy Brixton, London
A cult underground experimental electro duo from Toronto with a sleazy modern aesthetic.

***In the Studio for a Chat on Nov 24th will be Lee from Weirdgear…..***
