Lace & Whiskey (l-r): Aaron (drums/vocals), Melissa (vocals/guitar), Nick (bass), Rock ‘n’ Roll Andy (vocals/guitar).
Tonight I was joined in the studio by Lace & Whiskey, who have recently released their debut album Running Out of Time. Based in London, the foursome count blues, Americana and even Alice Cooper among their many influences. They’ll be announcing more dates to promote the album soon – stay tuned via www.laceandwhiskey.co.uk alongside the band’s Facebook, Twitter and Reverbnation pages.

Phillippa Leigh(centre) and Phil Southgate (second from right) joined by (l-r) Paul (drums), Mark (guitar) and Simon (bass).
I was also joined in the studio by Southgate & Leigh. Songwriting duo Phil and Philippa formed after meeting at the Edinburgh Festival, and have gone on to have a most prolific year, releasing their debut album Where We Are and supporting Joan Armatrading on her UK tour, after Joan herself saw Philippa busking on the Underground! The album is available now and the band can be contacted at www.southgateandleigh.com alongside their Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
