August of of fun

Oh we so love a Bank Holiday weekend……..well I do – Despite the weather planning its traditional sprinkling of moisture.

Twofers today was all up to date with the Vaccines, as we played ‘All in White’ and their new single ‘Teenage Icon’…..

My Comedy show picks for this week……
Greg Proops, at the Soho Theatre – 28th Aug 2012 • Soho Theatre
You might recognise him from shows like “Whose Line Is It Anyway”, “Mock the Week” and “The Bigger Picture”, but now you can see Greg Proops doing what he does best — taking centre stage with a small table and chair.

Paul Merton and Josie Lawrence — Comedy Store – 2nd Sept 2012 • Comedy Store
TV’s Paul Merton will be joining Josie Lawrence at the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Lee Simpson, Neil Mullarkey, Richard Vranch and Niall Ashdown.

My music pick for this week;
Tue 28 Aug Guillemots – Rough Trade East, London
Melodic indie group from London create pop records with broken rhythms and mini-keyboard orchestras.
Wed 29 Aug Patrick Wolf – The Old Vic, London
South London born singer-songwriter Patrick Wolf bestows the image and demeanour of a man far removed from the world of popular music.
