Wow, what a fabulous day! Brilliant sunshine coupled with balmy temperatures and today we had all the music to match the weather. Bags of summer fun sounds with the widest mix of music from today and yesterday you’ll find anywhere on the radio – and everyone a real winner.
To name just a few we had oldies from Manfred Mann, The Kinks, Vanessa Amerosi and George Harrison, classics from Bob Segar, Bryan Adams, Katy Perry, Amy MacDonald and the Sugababes, plus the latest tracks from Train, Gossip, Cheryl, Stooshe, Florence and the Machine and the Killers. Every one a winner!
On top of that Frances Clamp took time out to give us the low down on the history of SHENFIELD COMMON and interesting stuff it was too. You can re-listen to what she had to say right here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Bygones-14th-August.mp3|titles=Bygones 14th August]
Anyway I’m off now to sink a couple of beers in the sun. See you next week.
All the best,
Scott
