Love a bank holiday weekend, good weather and one that has the hint of chocolate about it – not that I’ve had any of those…. still it is early.

E4 Udderbelly — Rufus Hound, “Being Rude” – 9th – 11th Apr 2012 • Southbank Centre

Rufus Hound is probably best known for having one of the finest moustaches on TV, but did you know that he’s also a top-notch comic? Well now you can see him “Being Rude” at the annual E4 Udderbelly

“Jiggery Pokery” – comedy magician Pete Firman – 12th Apr 2012 • Bloomsbury Theatre

Pete Firman’s hilarious “Jiggery Pokery” show was such a resounding success at the Edinburgh Festival that he’s taking it on a national tour. Firman’s brand of magic includes amazing feats and a rapid rate of top-notch.

Marcus Brigstocke, at the Comedy Store – 15th Apr 2012 • Comedy Store

Marcus Brigstocke will be joining the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Andy Smart, Steve Edis, Stephen Frost, Steve Steen and Josie Lawrence.

Frank Turner – Wembley Arena, London

Frank Turner is a musician born in Bahrain who has toured the UK extensively and started solo acoustic shows prior to the demise of his former band, Million Dead.

Sat 14 Apr

Hadouken! – Chinnerys, Southend-on-Sea

Essex indie band combine a potentially mad cocktail of drum ‘n’ base, rock and nu-rave beats to a delirious effect.
