Some stories covered on the show:

Ian Hislop attends the Leveson Inquiry and says that no new press laws need to be implemented (Hurray for a free press!)

Wikipedia protest against SOPA (Harray for free information!.. although I didn’t know too much about that story because Wikipedia was down…)

MP’s urge us to take 2 nights off booze a week (Hurray for free livers! But for many surely this is an increase?!)

So it was a freedom filled week all round and here are the songs I thought would help celebrate this freedom:

Arctic Monkeys – I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor

Beatles – Help! [a reflection on my broadcasting prowess]

Stornoway – Zorbing

The Cure – Lovecats

The Subways – Rock ‘n’ Roll Queen

Starsailor – Alcoholic [allegedly the state of our nation]

Blur – Song 2

The Jam – Going Underground

Bob Marley – Could You Be Loved

Queen – Flash

Rolling Stones – Sympathy for the Devil

Coral – In the Morning

Kanye West (feat. Chris Martin) – Homecoming

Seeing this list makes me realise there is no rhyme nor rhythm to my song-selection process… although admittedly all of the songs do contain both rhyme and rhythm. They’re all great songs though!
