Top 25 Albums of 2011 – 20/12/11

After much much much much deliberation, frustration, many late nights and copious amounts of tea we finally arrived at our top 25 albums of 2011. This year was a truly exceptional year for music and it really was hard work picking the final 25.
The 33RPM album of the year went to The Antlers breathtaking Burst Apart. A truly stunning album of utter beauty that has really been off the turntable since it’s release.
But saying that all the albums in the list deserve their place and all our strongly recommended listening.
The full list is below (the tracks we played on the show in parentheses), here’s also a link to Spotify playlist featuring the below tracks apart from the two albums that unfortunately aren’t on Spotify (Earth and Bill Callahan). https://open.spotify.com/user/sadballadman/playlist/74J8vwIGAcskPEIB0ZRTiY

Hopefully 2012 will be another superb year for music. See you next week!
