I was a very sleepy Emma this morning, but I managed to find sone interesting new music to play you in the last hour of the show so if you missed it you can check out the bands at the bottom of the blog including a song from Hugh Laurie’s album Let Them Talk

Travis Perkins builds business with turnover up 5.9%, Shares in Bingo and gambling group Rank are rasing their stakes! Networking website LinkedIn is to sell shares. Political Unrest in the Middle East hits holiday companies.

Evening Echo, By Paul Alton

Basildon & Pitsea skipper Danny Gray was happy to get the season off to a good start with a six-wicket win over hosts Epping.  The new towners were relegated last season and were anxious to get the new term off to a winning start.
Epping 127 in 36.3 overs.
Basildon to 128-4 off 33.2 overs

Billericay welcomed Belhus to Blunts Wall Road and defeated them by four wickets.  Belhus skipper Wayne Read opted to bat after winning the toss.
Belhus were bowled out for 245 off 50 overs.
Billericay replied with 249-6 off 49.1 overs.
