Tuesday – Music News, new release and Album tracks I played…

I had a lovely day at Kensington roof Gardens and wandering around Selfridges look at clothes I can only dream of being able to afford!!! So it was tough waking up this morning trying to get in to the swing of work!!!

Here is what happened on the show today….

BUSINESS
Manufacturing orders are up, but there are energy industry warnings over tax increases and there’s grim news for middle-income families.  Also in business Bin Laden’s death has boosted stock markets around the world with a fall in oil prices, Chrysler drives towards profits, Telecoms company  creates more jobs.

SPORT
John Higgins has won his fourth snooker World Championship title.  The Scot came from behind to beat Judd Trump 18-15.  From 12-9 down, Higgins won the next 5 frames and then held his nerve to complete the victory.

LOCAL SPORT

Stuart Bingham says he can not wait to get stuck into next season despite his heart-breaking exit from the World Championship.  The 34-year-old, who lost a thrilling last 16 encounter with world number four Ding Junhui on Monday night, says he remains confident he can still break into the top 16 after completing his best-ever campaign.  The Vange resident was in good spirits as he drove back from Sheffield yesterday, and said he was keeping a close eye on news that Stephen Hendry is considering retiring from snooker.  And if the 42-year-old Scot does quit, that will move Bingham from 17th to 16th in the rankings, and automatically qualify him for a number of tournaments next season.
