To get us in the mood we opened with the bonus track “LETS MAKE THIS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER”
Moving on to the TOP 20 proper the songs you voted for were as follows:-
Sharing the anchor position in the chart were BACK TO YOU and A LITTLE LOVE. Pipping those two songs by a single vote to take the number 19 slot it was HEAVEN. DIANA was at postion 18 followed by DEPEND ON ME coming in at number 17. At number 16 it was BROKEN WINGS. With two songs tying for position 14 – THOUGHT I’D DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN and I WANNA BE YOUR UNDERWEAR, there was no number 15. COMING HOME was at number 13 and BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER was the number 12 choice in the countdown. CUTS LIKE A KNIFE was at number 11. At number 10 it was DO I HAVE TO SAY THE WORDS? with RIGHT BACK WHERE I STARTED FROM in at number 9. ALL I WANT IS YOU was your number 8 choice with YOU’RE STILL BEAUTIFUL TO ME at number 7. Just outside the TOP 5 it was 18 TIL I DIE. And for the TOP 5 we had RUN TO YOU at position 5. HAVE YOU EVER REALLY LOVED A WOMAN was at 4. THe number 3 sound was CAN’T STOP THIS THING WE’VE STARTED. The theme from the 1991 movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves – EVERYTHING I DO I DO IT FOR YOU was the number 2 choice and in pole position, it just had to be SUMMER OF ’69.
We also squeezed in the following bonus tracks DON’T GIVE UP, which Bryan recorded with Chicane, THE ONLY THING THAT LOOKS GOOD ON ME IS YOU and finally the 1999 hit with Mel C – BABY WHEN YOU’RE GONE.
