Food for the breakfast soul

The usual malarky of took place this week with a hint of hunfer, I really need to think about actaully having a Breakfast during my show, afterall it is Breakfast. Maybe someone local to the studio can pop in with a bacon roll or somethink – hint – hint..lol.

Twofer this morning was from DURAN DURAN as the brummies are on a UK tour and feel ‘£70 quid is ok for a ticket at the o2……..ouch.

My little live Comedy Pick was’Ḋ’Ḋ

Jerry Sadowitz, at the Leicester Square Theatre.
27th ‘ 29th January 2011.
Jerry Sadowitz is the brilliantly foul-mouthed comic whose act would even make Denis Leary blush. And he doesn’t get anywhere near enough credit for his top-notch magic either ‘ he’s like a Satan-ised version of Paul Daniels, with jokes.

Comedy night, with Arthur Smith.
30th January 2011.
The Lyric’s Sunday Night Comedy slot returns with a side-splitting mix of famous names and upcoming stars, all introduced by Richard Herring. ‘ Lyric Hammersmith.

Paul Merton and Josie Lawrence, at the Comedy Store.
30th January 2011.
TV’s Paul Merton will be joining Josie Lawrence at the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson, Steve Edis and Dave johns.

As always, a little nudge up to live music was in order..Live music picks

Wed 02 Feb. Los Campesinos! – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire,
A seven-piece twee-pop band formed at Cardiff University in 2006. After receiving extensive airtime on BBC Radio Wales, the 14-legged indie group were signed to Witchita and released a quick burst of singles and albums. The band is popular on both sides of the Atlantic and has embarked on tours of both North and South America.
Thu 03 Feb. Band of Horses – O2 Academy Brixton,
Dreamy indie band from South Carolina who openly embrace their Christian values. Sonically they are a typical American band with husky emotive vocals and a sublime fusion of electric guitars and silky looped drum beats.
Sat 05 Feb. Fenech Soler – The Relentless Garage, Camden. A live performance from Fenech Soler from glam, psychedelic and zouk.

On Saturday 5th, I’ve Lee Mayer from electro band… ‘Weirdgear’ in the studio. Dishing pearls of musical wisdom and tempting us with immerging musical talent from around the corner.
……….The Saturday Breakfast show – ‘Get involved ??’…If you are in a Band Local to Brentwood & Billericay – Are you locally based Comic, then I’d love to hear from you too!
