Happy 5th day of Christmas

Some would say this is a belated message…but I’m going to take the 12 days of Christmas route so as not to look late. So Happy Christmas, and I hope anyone reading this is having a relaxing time with family and friends and also enjoying the last few days of not counting calories! Last week, there an attempt at least to get festive without playing all the usual Slade rubbish (that not many people like anyway!), so I dug out a few Christmas number ones, and also an old Christmas album by Low, which we featured quite a bit, which included a lovely but sleep-enducing cover of Silent Night, all amongst the usual “recent and decent” indie. It got me festive, and that’s the main thing! Being Christmas, guests are a little thin on the ground, so it’s probably just me for a week or two but I’ll keep the tunes coming aswell as possible! See you tonight. Playlist from last week as follows…

David Bowie – Oh! You Pretty Things
British Sea Power – Fear Of Drowning
Foals – Miami
Low – Just Like Christmas
Laura Marling – You’re No God
Exit Calm – You Got It Wrong
Wilco – Jesus etc
The Beatles – Hello, Goodbye
Radiohead – Bishop’s Robe
Doves – Cedar Room
Low – Blue Christmas
Pet Shop Boys – Always On My Mind
Puressence – Don’t Know Any Better
Weezer – Memories
Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall
The National – Bloodbuzz Ohio
Richard Hawley – The Ocean
Low – Silent Night
Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody
The Temper Trap – Rest
The Maccabees – No Kind Words
Jeff Buckley – Eternal Life
