It was great to catch up with Jeffers Mayo from FMB on today’s show.
FMB formed in the early 90s, and played alongside the likes of The Wonder Stuff, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, EMF and Carter USM – but many remember them from The Next Big Thing, when they were relentlessly followed by a Channel 4 film crew for a very early reality TV show.
They didn’t release any music in the 90s but put that right in 2021 with the release of debut album Showtime, and more music is on the way. Jeffers told us all about the band’s early days, and what their current plans are. You can keep in touch with the band via their Facebook page.
