This is murder – oh but wait a minute, maybe it’s not!

Today we enjoyed a marvellous story about a “mass murder” that wasn’t!

A couple of weeks ago a member of the public alerted police, to what they had described as a scene of mass murder.

As a result, with sirens blaring police arrived “en masse” at the Seascape Cafe in Chapel St Leonards, where they burst through the doors, but instead of the reported killing field of corpses piled high to the ceiling what they  actually found was a class of old age pensioners in the middle of a yoga class!

That must have been exciting for all those attending the exercise class.

How very embarrassing!

Being a Tuesday I was once again joined by Billericay’s renowned historian, MARGARET MILLS, who this week took us on a pilgrimage to the site of a first world war memorial established  in a field at Dollyman’s Farm in Shotgate, close to where two young airmen perished when the aircraft they were piloting crashed in a storm.

If you missed what Margaret said on this subject, you can listen again here: –

I very much hope that you will be able to join me once again tomorrow when I’ll be deputising for BOB SIMPSON.
