“Being a hero is to know when to die.”

Heroes are our Guardian Angels looking over us. Without thought, they sacrifice themselves for others.

Jimi and Joaquin García selflessly knew they sacrificed their lives to save another person.

Rest in Peace Jimi 🙏🏽

An online petition to place a memorial plaque on London Bridge to honour Jimi’s “bravery and act of heroism”

The Royal Humane Society are considering Jimi and Joaquin for a medal to recognise their “bravery and selfless actions”. The society has been awarding medals for “acts of bravery in the saving of human life” since 1774. They both deserve recognition.

“Jimi is a loving son and my best friend. He has a good heart and always willing to help everyone around him. I’ll forever miss him.”
– Michael Adewole (Jimi’s father)

“My son Jimi is my strength, he takes care of me and everyone. I’m empty without Jimi. I pray to have peace in my life.”
– Olasunkanmi Adewole (Jimi’s mother)

“Irreplaceable” and “the most generous person”
– Jimi’s brother

“He was a spiritual person inside his heart, and his actions say enough. He should be remembered by the whole world,”
– Bernard Kosia (Jimi’s friend)

“Of course I totally support this campaign to get Jimi honoured. The people have shown that will. If you go to the bridge, there are tonnes of flowers and candles spelling the word “hero”.
– Joaquin García
