You should never draw peoples attention to something important and then not have anything planned, like. This Show was launched on June 2nd 2015, and so this means we are 5 years old today and I was going to try and do something special to mark this, but thanks to COVID-19 aka LOCKDOWN, it kind of slipped from the possible.
However, when the show became Synth City in 2015, after 5 years as the Saturday Electronic breakfast show, we moved to Tuesday nights to concentrate on the music, the best electronic music and we were lucky to have a top band in to play live in the studio to help launch that new show.
We had, none other than, Shelter, who drove all the way from Wales that afternoon to deliver a chat and a spectacular live studio set- a real treat. These guys have supported Erasure and the Human League, so for us, it was an honour and I thought, well we would rerun the lovely set they did, way back on June 2nd 2015- and so we did.
This week, we had yet another good mix of styles as we heard new tracks from The Grey Disorder – LorD and Master feat Neil Francis – Magnetic Skies – Lovers Manifesto – Vague Notion – Synesthete – The Last Years, plus a nice selection of classic artists and remixes.
