I’m loving all this May sunshine at the moment, although it is kind of gone by the time I am in that there Phoenix FM studio, but it is a good footing to be starting anything I feel.
This week we chatted about the fact that music artist are making more money from touring and merchandise then the actual music they create on average, so with streaming is this getting more so, or levelling out. Then there the unsigned and smaller acts, who can’t compete with the behemoth acts with their top merch buying prowess. For an experiment, I decided this week to push out my own Synth City merchandise [links are on my twitter and facebook pages], to see if a nobody could make any pennies from some simple, but well made promotional merchandise.
New music-wise, we had a really nice mixed selection again, with new tracks from Into The Blood – Alice Hubble – Howard Jones – Mercury Machine – Buzzing Sound Candy – Le Cliche – Hieronymus FTP, plus a nice smattering of classic tracks and tasty remixes along the way.
