Billericay Town 4 Hendon 1

Another very entertaining match to watch and a good win Saturday against Hendon (4-1). The game had plenty of goalmouth action, BTFC were winning 3-0 at HT and dominated the 1st half, the 2nd half was more evenly balanced but there was no doubt about the result.

It was Billericay’s biggest crowd of the season (561) and this helped to create a fantastic atmosphere. It feels now as things are really happening at the club under the ownership of Glenn Tamplin. New fencing has been erected around the entire pitch, this has smartened up the ground, work is/has taken place in the clubhouse and new floodlights are to be installed soon.

In December Glenn promised fans there would be changes and I can confirm things are starting to happen. The next fans forum is planned to take place at the club on Thursday 23rd March, everyone is welcome.

The team are now 7pts off the league playoff positions with 12 league matches to go, there is still an outside chance of reaching them. The next 3 matches are away, first to Enfield on the 28th February followed by Harlow and Hendon. The next home fixture is Saturday 11th March v Burgess Hill.

It would be good to increase our supporter base, perhaps that can happen on the 11th March with a crowd bigger than 561. Spread the word if you want entertaining, exciting football at an ambitious, caring club, Billericay Town FC is the team to support.
