THIS WEEK in 1982: Kerrang! magazine publishes its first issue. Angus Young of AC/DC is on the cover. Kerrang! was initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts. In the early 2000s it became the best-selling British music newspaper
1983 – Grease 2, starring Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer (in her feature film debut), is released. The film flopped at the box office. Pfeiffer was nominated for a 1983 Young Artist Award but the film was nominated for a Stinkers Bad Movie Awards for Worst Picture.
